Margaret Sanders worked with Walsworth Publishing Company for forty years;
she traveled the world assisting
schools with the publication of their yearbooks. This exciting career
afforded the opportunity for her to develop a close identification with
overseas "American/International" schools and their diverse and
interesting populations.
Mrs. Sanders now wishes to "give back" to this community which has given
her so many exciting opportunities and personal rewards, and in year 2000
established a scholarship foundation to serve the international schools.
Mrs. Sanders has been awarding these scholarships for eight years. Past
scholarship winners have come from: Bangladesh, Colombia (2), Ghana, Great
Britain, Hungary, Israel, Kenya, Lebanon, Pakistan (3), Philippines,
Republic of Korea, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sultanate of Oman, United
Kingdom, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe.
The CEESA region has been most fortunate to have had several winners of the
$5,000 scholarships.
The deadline for this year will be at the end of November, 2010, with winners
announced in February, 2011.
Last year's application packet (5 pages in Word) is linked below; this is the 2009-10
application material, which you may wish to download for your information, but it is NOT
the information for the 2010-11 scholarship. The new materials will be posted here as
soon as they are available.
