We are thrilled to share that our ELC students recently joined the global movement for Outdoor Classroom Day! This wonderful initiative aims to make outdoor time an essential part of every child’s daily routine. Twice a year, educators around the world take their students outside for a day dedicated to playing and learning in nature. However, the spirit of Outdoor Classroom Day
goes beyond these biannual events, with a community that campaigns year-round for more outdoor learning and play.

Our young students embraced this opportunity with remarkable enthusiasm and participation. What made this experience truly special was the agency our students had in deciding the types of activities they wanted to do outside in our garden, playground and forest. From nature crowns to creative art projects using natural materials, the children were fully engaged in activities they were passionate about.

They had the freedom to explore and connect with nature, using their creativity and imagination to the fullest. The students transitioned from one activity to the next with independence, showing a natural curiosity and excitement for learning. This autonomy not only fostered their decision-making skills but also allowed them to take ownership of their learning experiences.

It was heartwarming to see their faces light up with interest as they discovered new aspects of the natural world around them.

We look forward to continuing our journey towards integrating more outdoor time into our daily routines, nurturing our children’s love for nature and learning.
