Biography (if needed)

We got the school year off to a great start by offering parents the chance to learn more about our curriculum.

_______________

Our Primary Years Programme Coordinators for Early Years and Upper Primary led a workshop at TISA for interested parents on Tuesday 3rd September. Heather Rich and Hannah Walker took several parents through useful resources and real life examples to
unpack the following questions:

What does it mean to be a PYP School?

What do we mean when we talk about inquiry?

How can you support your Child as a PYP learner?

New and returning parents from different countries, who grew up with a wide variety of educational experiences, got the opportunity to engage in some inquiry based learning themselves. This helped them to reach a common understanding of what Inquiry based learning looks like at TISA for their children. Working with parents as partners through
mutual understanding and respect helps us all offer the best possible personalised learning experience for TISA students.

In addition to being PYP coordinators, leading planning and curriculum development, Heather and Hannah engage with students as learning coaches to support the delivery of high quality learning at TISA through effective differentiation.
