The American International School of Budapest (AISB) recently hosted the World Language Conference, bringing together language educators from 15 international schools across Europe and beyond. The event was a key initiative of the World Language Job-Alike group, established in 2020 to foster collaboration and professional development among language educators. This group aims to share best practices, resources, and innovative teaching methods to enhance language instruction in international schools. Sponsored by CEESA in cooperation with ELMLE and ECIS.

A Hub for Global Educators

The conference provided a platform for educators to connect and share strategies for improving language teaching. Attendees, representing diverse educational systems, engaged in lively discussions, enriching their understanding of language acquisition. As one educator noted, “Meeting colleagues from all over the world gave me new perspectives and inspired me to try new things in my classroom.”

New Strategies and Fresh Inspiration

Guided by the theme “Empowering Language Learners: Creativity, Collaboration, and Inclusion,” the event featured workshops and sessions on innovative teaching methods, technology integration, and inclusive practices. Participants left with fresh ideas and tools to enhance student engagement. One attendee shared, “I can’t wait to try the strategies I learned in my classes.”
