Start of November marked a significant milestone for Kyiv International School (KIS) as the High School Boys Football team returned to CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Association) tournaments after a five-year hiatus. The event, hosted in Bratislava, brought together schools from across the region in a celebration of sportsmanship, determination, and unity.
For KIS, this return was more than just about football—it was a triumph of resilience. Despite the ongoing challenges of war in our home country, our players showcased their unyielding spirit, reminding us all of the power of perseverance.
In an inspiring display of collaboration, KIS partnered with Pechersk School International (PSI) to form a united team. This unique partnership highlighted the strength of community and the ability to achieve more together, both on and off the field.
The tournament was not just about scores or trophies; it was a testament to hope and shared aspirations for a brighter future. The experience reinforced the values of teamwork, resilience, and optimism, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
We are incredibly proud of our students, coaches, and the broader KIS community for making this journey possible. The return to CEESA tournaments signifies not only a new chapter for our athletics program but also a powerful reminder of the strength found in unity and determination.
