TISA Students’ Encapsulate Their Current Identity

Our M1/ Grade 6 students just completed a memorable project as part of their first Grade 6 English assessment. After exploring a unit on “small moments” and reading a selection of short stories, they crafted heartfelt “Letters to Their Future Selves.” Each letter answers the question: Who are you now? And captures a meaningful moment they want their future selves to remember, along with hopes for who they’ll become. With their letters, some students included a symbolic artefact that represents who they are today, with a brief explanation of its personal significance. The students had a fantastic time burying their capsules, and we’re excited for the retrieval in June 2025.
