The Model United Nations of Vienna 2025 (MUNoV25) conference at the Vienna International Center was a memorable experience for all students involved.
MUNoV 2025, the largest Model United Nations conference in Austria, successfully concluded its three-day event at the Vienna International Centre (VIC), one of the four global UN headquarters. Located in Vienna and fondly known as “UNO City”, this iconic venue provided the perfect backdrop for our diplomatic gathering.
Our conference welcomed 450 secondary school students aged 14-18 from 26 schools across multiple countries, including France, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Ethiopia, Turkey, and Greece. Under the theme “Conflict to Cooperation: Navigating Turbulent Times with Diplomacy,” participants engaged in critical discussions on global issues such as the Vienna Siege of 1975 in our historic security council, the proliferation of racism in the younger generations in GA3 and Investigating Africa’s Role in the War against terrorism in African Union.
MUNoV 2025 took place at the Vienna International Centre, which has been a hub of international diplomacy since its establishment in 1979. This UN headquarters, hosting numerous international organisations, offered an inspiring environment for young diplomats to develop leadership skills and explore international relations, while experiencing first-hand challenges of international diplomacy and negotiations skills.
As we conclude this memorable conference, we are inspired by the passion and dedication shown by these future global leaders in addressing complex issues and working towards a more peaceful world. We are grateful to the United Nations Vienna office for allowing us to host the conference at the Vienna International Centre, a setting that added a layer of authenticity to the entire event.
A huge thank you to the dedicated student organisers, advisors, and everyone who contributed to making this conference a success.
