Rethinking Student Mental Health

As we navigate the complexities of student well-being, the work of Dr. Sean Truman offers fresh insights into how we can better support young people in international schools. A licensed psychologist and founder of the Truman Group, Dr. Truman has spent years working with international communities to address student mental health challenges.

Growing up in Nairobi, Kenya, and attending International School, Dr. Truman brings a deep, personal understanding of global education. His academic journey took him from Reed College to a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, with a fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Today, he works with adolescents, adults, and couples in private practice while leading research efforts on international student well-being.
