We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of TISA Literacy Month with a whole school Book Character Spirit Day. This event was a collaboration between our library and StuCo, and it was a joy to see so many students and staff members participate.
On the final school day of April, superheroes, princesses, Jedi knights, and a wide range of other storybook favorites could be seen roaming the halls. Primary students proudly displayed their costumes during a parade at morning recess, while Secondary students added a touch of whimsy to their day with Seussian hats or pairs of red slippers. Our staff members are enthusiastic story lovers too, and they got into the spirit with great costumes to celebrate with our students. A few teams even arrived in group costumes!
Our Book Character Spirit Day was a fitting way to end TISA Literacy Month, which was filled with fun and engaging activities that helped promote a love of reading among our students. While the month may have come to a close, we know that TISA readers will continue to express their love of stories throughout the year.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and helped make TISA Literacy Month a huge success. We look forward to continuing to promote literacy and a love of reading at our school.
