Start of November marked a significant milestone for Kyiv International School (KIS) as the High School Boys Football team returned to CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Association) tournaments after a five-year hiatus. The event, hosted in Bratislava, brought together schools from across the region in a celebration of sportsmanship, determination, and unity

CEESA educators engaged in a deep exploration of leadership in complex systems and changing times at the International School of Krakow.

On Friday, 18th October, we celebrated an incredible UN Day at BIS! Our school community came together to honor the rich diversity within BIS, with students and staff proudly representing over 80 countries in a vibrant country parade.

This week we had a wonderful turnout of parents joining us on a collaborative journey in mathematics at TISA! We are very grateful to them for their support and to teachers who opened classrooms and dialogues to further this partnership.

At AIS Vienna, the diverse linguistic backgrounds of students are embraced through multilingual library sections that highlight the 48 languages spoken within the community

In October 2024, over 30 technology leaders from 20 schools across the CEESA and ECIS regions gathered in Vienna for the Tech Director Job Alike event. This unique professional development (PD) opportunity allowed participants to dive deep into discussions about the evolving role of technology in education.

This school year, VIS has introduced an exciting new initiative called "Parents as Gardeners." Aiming to support biodiversity, the VIS Green Team has invited parents to join their children in a collaborative gardening effort on selected Saturdays. This opportunity is available for families with children from the Early Learning Center (ELC) to Grade 5.

Throughout May, Vienna International School (VIS) has been actively recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month, with a focus on utilising ACES—four simple strategies designed to help balance mental health.

On Monday, April 22, Vienna International School (VIS) joined global efforts to raise awareness on Earth Day, celebrating the hope for a sustainable future on our beautiful planet Earth. This year, our focus was on the critical issue of plastic waste, and we implemented actions around the school to enhance our recycling efforts.

With the end of the school year, we say goodbye to a few esteemed members of our Executive Committee and Heads of Schools, and welcome new ones.
