To Data or Not to Data” Using Protocols to Enhance Learning by Melissa Schaub, Curriculum Director; Leigh Anne Toler, PD & Assessment Coordinator and Robert Doyle, Principal Assistant at the Anglo-American School of Moscow

This session is designed for all educators who are interested in lifting student learning.  It introduces the four types of data that schools use for improvement with specific focus on both perception and achievement data.  The use of protocols will be explored and practiced in order to illustrate how pertinent findings and patterns embedded in the data can be used to build action plans for furthering student growth and professional development.  Participants will walk away with protocol examples and an action plan template to support the benefits of data review and analysis.  YouthTruth school perception survey and other examples of in-house student work will be used to guide the session.  All are invited and encouraged to bring one example of student work or school data to use for practice purposes with the protocol.
