His work at AIR has included technical assistance to the General Electric Foundation and to the Microsoft Math Partnership.

Before joining AIR, he spent 22 years as Mathematics Consultant with the Connecticut Department of Education, where he was responsible for the development and oversight of statewide activities in K-12 mathematics education. He is the author of several mathematics textbooks and numerous articles.
